My Little MR2

It was back in Feb of 2008 when we met. I was looking for a little pick-up to replace the one my Dad took back from me. One night at the dealership I saw the coolest little old car and I thought it would be cool if the guy traded it in so I could buy it instead! My wish came true. I guess that a couple of other salesman thought the same thing but I beat them to it. They were pretty mad and even more jealous. I got the little thing for $600.00. It needed a lot of work but I had big plans. I was going to fix it up and take care of it so I could have it forever. I joined the MR2 owner's club online right away. I even saw a little yellow MR2 at a tattoo parlor and flipped around to go check it out. I went inside and talked to the guy for a while and he even came with me to pick up my to-go order at Bajio grill. On the way he told me about how he has a buddy in Salt Lake that would help me paint my car. I was so excited! I could never find him again so I thought about spray painting it myself. That made me nervous because I didn't know what kind of paint to use or how to do it. I tried to look on the internet for tips, but in the end I just never got anything done and it's still grey and a bit ugly.

My birthday was the next month and all I wanted was money to buy things for my car. I went to the junkyard and found a spoiler and a cool shift nob. I also put a new stereo in it (I even put the speakers in myself). I would keep the inside clean all the time.  It wasn't a very fast car at all, it was really slow until you got it up to 4000 RPM's and then it seemed to have a turbo. It was a blast to drive though! I would go underneath the bars that block the entrance to the UVU parking lot because it was so low to the ground and it could turn on a dime. I would always go on the road that had road construction so I could weave in and out of the cones really fast. One time I even took a trip to Idaho to see Seth and to go to Katie's wedding. I just put it on cruise at 80 mph and got there in no time.

I had a lot of good times in my little car. Then I got stuck in the snow and the little engine couldn't take the strain to get out and one of the rods broke. I could not afford to fix it and I knew that I needed to get that truck that I was looking for before but it was hard to say goodbye to my little car. I put it on KSL and sold it, Brody came and picked it up today. I am glad he got it though because he loves it too and wants to fix it up nice like I was going to. I got his phone number and told him I would keep in touch, I want to see it when its all done.
THE END

I liked your story, one that Conrad will enjoy one day. Glad you got a picture of the car before it was sold. Your MR2 (I have to be honest , I never heard of it)looks like Charles' Fiero... small and low to the ground. He probably feels the same way about his car. Maybe one day, another opportunity will come along to own a MR2 again.
